Hi Everyone. I had fun reading all your "I remind people of...." comments. I don't actually think I look like Julie Andrews, or Maria, but I did cut apart our curtains once to sew them into something else. It's more of a personality thing.
I occasionally get the, "You look like Anne Heche" comment, but I remind Lindsay of Julia Ormond in Sabrina..... I think because she was a nerd, then lived in Europe and came back more socially acceptable....... that sounds just about like my life story.
Lindsay reminds me of Steve Carroll in the office..... but if you saw younger photos of him, I'd say he could be a stand in for Mitt Romney! He totally had that conservative politician look going on for a while!
OK, many of you wanted my cookie recipe, so here it is:
Pumpkin Chocolate Chip cookies..... these are very good with cream cheese frosting, but I rarely go to the effort because they are also very good without.
1 Cup Sugar
1 Cup Canned Pumpkin
1/2 Cup Butter
1 T grated orange peel (I only add this if I happen to have oranges)
2 Cups Flour, can be white or whole wheat
1 t baking powder
1 t baking soda
1 t cinnamon
1/4 t salt
Chocolate Chips..... enough to make it yummy!
Heat oven to 375º. Mix wet ingredients together. Stir in dry ingredients (I just sprinkle all the dry on top of the wet, then mix them in). Drop on ungreased cookie sheet and bake for about 10 minutes give or take a little depending on your oven and altitude.
Something that's really fun about this Kenner Road kit is that it includes fabric. I love that. They also have a kit with items from The Boyfriend if you're interested in it. But, this is the one you could win today. Check out the fun things their designers made with it!
And finally, let's introduce the random winner of yesterday's prize giveaway........... drumroll please.......... HOLY COW!!!!!!!...... I just ran the number generator and for the first time EVER, the first commenter wins! I took a screen grab just so that you will know I am not cheating!
