I fell hard for our Simple Surface deck and still use it in almost every paper project I make. So, I was excited to design more specialty art papers for our upcoming release.
Samples are just coming in and I can't resist playing with them! I created this piece yesterday. Even Eric was surprised when he learned I drew the ballerina!
I am not the better illustrator between us. My first attempt on simple type paper was erased and drawn over so many times that it became little more than a black smudge around a hole worn from my eraser.
My second attempt went better because I drew it on vellum. (I found you can erase on vellum endlessly and never wear a hole in it.) Once I got the drawing to my liking, I scanned it and printed it directly onto the designer kraft paper. The ballerina's skirt was made by fan-folding yet another new type of specialty paper we will be releasing.
You can get another glimpse of some of these papers in this wall art piece (and a peek at our new white enameled project hanger too!)
Tell me what you think! Are you excited to see more?
