Hello Cosmo Cricket fans, if you're looking for the product reveal post it's the next entry down!
You may already know how to make these pretty hearts, in fact, you may have made them as a child using construction paper. Well, they take on a whole new beauty made in translucent vellum!
Here's all you'll need to make all six hearts:
1. One sheet of 12" vellum. There are lots to choose from in our Simple Surfaces deck and more coming soon in our Vellumptuous deck.
2. Paper Trimmer
Cut your paper into twelve 1" strips. Cut 6 of these strips to follow the smaller measurements in the photo below and 6 to follow the larger measurements. (5+4+3=12 and 7+5=12)
You will have six 3" strips. Divide these out one per heart and set aside.
The small hearts will get two 5" strips and two 4" strips. The larger hearts will get two 5" strips and two 7" strips. Glue the one smaller strip to it's longer mate. Flip them over so that the longer strip is on top and add more adhesive.
Lay the 3" strip over the glue as shown below. You will be attaching it to the longer strip. Add the other set of strips sandwhiching the 3" strip in the center.
Place adhesive on the inside ends of the strips and attach them to the lower end of the 3" strip.
Now I have plans to hang mine from our soon-to-be-release mobile. You can see that in the entry below.
