I'm going to show you how to make this card, but before that I just want to say,
"Hello. Is it me you're looking for?"
I worry my paper crafty friends are wondering where I've gone in the midst of all these fabricky posts.
Believe me, it's a trick balancing all my interests! Tomorrow will be the last day of the Moda blog hop and I will be announcing our winner along with what I'm hoping and praying will be a finished quilt.
In the meantime, all my paper-loving peeps, here is one for you.....
To begin, I cut a circle-shaped card base as my background, but you can attach this flower to almost anything.
Cut eight 3" squares of Chiffona paper from the She's Got Tissues paper deck.
Layer those squares together, fold in half and draw a half petal shape as shown. (It doesn't need to be perfect.)
Cut it all out at once using sharp scissors.
Pleat the bottom edges as shown.
Glue down four petals for the bottom layer. Then glue down the remaining four, one in between each of the first four petals.
Add a big circle charm to cover the messy center.
Dress it up with a sentiment if you wish and put on some Lionel Richie..... "cause you know just what to say. And you know just what to do. And I want to tell you so much I love you."
Happy weekend all, check in tomorrow to see if you won some Social Club!
