The theme is love and I'm here to talk about it!
You all may have figured out many of the things I love like these four things that have claimed my coveted lock screen photo spot.
And these two things that also love each other, although Eric would claim otherwise.
But what I don't mention often enough is my love of designing for Moda.
Let me tell you a story about how lucky this makes me feel.
When I was thirteen, I spent the entire summer convinced that if I entered all the Publisher Clearing House Sweepstakes I would win. I reasoned with my doubtful mother that someone had to win and since nobody thought they would they just threw the entry forms away. By sending everyone one of them in, I was rare and would have great odds.
I waited for the prize patrol.
They haven't shown up yet, but everytime Moda sends a box of my fabric I know I wouldn't be any happier even if they did!
Here's why I love it so much.
I wasn't planning to attempt what I call the "many triangles of fear" pattern that you can get here until I saw Kate Spain's quilt yesterday. It was so beautiful that I desperately wanted to attempt it.... and I did.
It's not perfect, but I'm pretty impressed with myself over it! I have never attempted to piece anything this complicated before. It was like my daughter's geometry homework got mixed up with a game of Tetris. I was seriously spinning those triangles around like crazy!
But now that I've accomplished this, I can't wait to try it BIG. Until then, I'm going to be following all of the blog hop posts to see what else I can learn!
