I like to write some fun little intro copy for each new line we release. For Early Bird, I have two versions. If you are musically inclined, start with this........ sung to "Rockin' Robin."
She crops in the treetops all day long,
Scrappin' and a stampin' and a singin' her song.
All the little birds on Jay Bird street
Love Early Bird layouts 'cause they are so sweet.
Keep a scrappin', scrap, scrap, scrap
Keep a scrappin', scrap, scrap-a-dee-dap
Go Early Bird 'cause we really love your layouts, that's right!
If, however, you are not musically inclined, the following copy does not need to be sung.
Wake up and smell the paper. Full of sunny colors, chirping birds and blooming flowers, the Early Bird collection might just make you a morning person. Create the perfect home for you photos, make sweet cards for your neighbors and remember a time when life was simple. The Early Bird collection includes six fresh patterned papers, one sheet of Element Cards perfect for adding a vintage flair to projects, one sheet of Borders, cardstock stickers, and a happy set of Ready, Set, Chipboard that's sure to make you smile. Pick some up today, because we all know, the Early Bird gets the worm.... I mean paper.
For all of you that love the new Spinner Cards........ and I know they're are lots of you since they sold out almost instantly and have been backordered for some time...... sorry!!!..... Anyway, when the next shipment comes in, look what's coming with it!
I have to tell you a little story about this layout. My printer dropped by on Sunday night to bring us the proofs for this line. He had two sets with him and I thought he would just need one set returned. So, on Monday we sent the signed proof off to him and I kept the second for myself. I promptly cut it apart and made this layout. Then, I got an email from our printer asking for that second proof. Ooops! Oh well, by now he should know that if you leave paper at my house one of three things will happen to it:
1. The kids will destroy it. They may use markers, crayons, scissors or even peanut butter, but it will be ruined.
2. Eric will throw it away. It may be junk mail, it may be homework, it may be an $1800 government refund check...... it doesn't matter, it will be thrown away.
3. It will be made into a Cosmo Cricket project, but can I say, "What a worthy way to go."
