Hello Everyone!
Many of you asked for a video demonstration of the paper rose I showed on this DeLovely photo frame.
Well, I actually learned to make this flower from the tutorial on Merdrey Chew's blog. But, I also wanted to try this flower with the Couture Watercolor Cardstock, having the petals hand painted.
Now, this video needs many disclaimers:
1. This was done yesterday evening after I had a long day down at HQ. I did not freshen up. What you see is what you get! Next time, I'll consider at least trimming my nails a bit. Sorry!
2. My kids were home and well, being kids! Also, you will hear Abby ask for an ice cream sandwich and be told yes, then Jack will ask for a popsicle and be told no. This is not because we don't love Jack as much as Abby. Jack had an ice cream sandwich just before we started taping. They could chose one treat only.
3. My first rose, not the one you watch me make, turned out prettier with the color graduating outward rather than inward. You'll see what I mean. You can do this just painting the petals opposite of how I show in the video. (Putting the dark at the base of the petal and using the water to spread it outward.)
4. I will use these on projects to show you, but I haven't done it yet!
OK, onto the videos!
