You may not have noticed but.....I have been missing in action this past month. It's sad when my wife thought I was in the garage the whole time, and when I spotted my own picture, No! Not on a scrapbook layout, but on the side of a milk carton.
There is an old Johnny Cash song that I think is titled " I've been everywhere." I can totally relate to this. Here are a few of the words from that song:
"I've been everywhere, man.
I've been everywhere, man.
Crossed the desert's bare, man.
I've breathed the mountain air, man.
Of travel I've had my share, man.
I've been everywhere.
First, I need to clarify a few things. When I crossed the desert, I was flying, and I had most of my clothes on.
(Occasionally I will take my shoes off, but only if there are other smells on the plane that will disguise any odor my feet may have.)
Second, It wasn't mountain air I was breathing, it was the Florida ocean air mixed in with some California, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Minnesota air.
And last, I didn't have anyone named "share" with with me nor did I meet anyone by that same name.
This past year I have become what is referred to as a "Gold Medallion" member with the airline that we frequently use.
What does that mean? It means that I fly a ton which translates once in a while into a little more leg room, a hot towel to wipe my hands and face with ( I think that is what it's for), an extra bottle of water. No more peanuts or Bischoff cookies. Twix and Sun Chips baby!
*side note- If you saw "Up in the air" with George Clooney", I only lack 630,000 more miles to reach my million. Not a goal by the way, just saying.
I am glad to be home and glad for a chance to share some fun things today.
I heard we need a winner today for yesterday. I do need to clarify one thing that we get asked frequently.
You do not have to be present to win. You have to be alive, but not present.
Yesterday's winner is...........Cindy Holshouser. Congratualtions Cindy! You now have exactly 5 minutes to email us back or we will draw someone else's name.
Just kidding Cindy! Email Jade at cosmocricket dot com your address and she will personally pack it for you.
Next, we want to thank those of you who send projects our way. It brightens our day!
