Since you seem to love my posts about the creative process, I thought it may be fun for you to see what goes into designing our trade show booth?
I don't know what I was thinking this time around, but I'll tell you what, it's much easier to draw all these things on my Mac than it is to create this stuff in real life!
We always start with a sketch.

Each rectangle represents a wall. The larger walls are at 90 degree angles to the smaller ones and there's a 4 foot gap between the two smaller walls. Everything is drawn to scale and every product is accounted for.
See those layouts hanging on the wall. Well here's a peek at one of them.

There are technically more than 150 projects in this booth. And, unlike any other show, this time around I made them ALL. Like I said, I don't know what I was thinking!

It's not that I can't delegate. It's not that I can't let go. But, I had a clear vision of my plan and it can be really difficult to convey somthing like that to multiple artists. Besides, I didn't get those canvases until just over 2 weeks ago. Is it really fair to ask someone to create more than 100 of them in such a short time?
And the jar lids.... Well they arrived to my home on Saturday. Insane!!!

But while I was waiting, Eric helped me create wall art for the outside walls of the booth. On one, side is a photo op. You can get your pic against some of our favorite patterns of the release, complete with props!

I also did this fun little canvas because I always get asked if it's OK to take pictures of our booth. This time around, I think you definitely will want to. We're asking that you hashtag them with #ilovecosmocricket because that is what we're hashtagging all the CHA Cosmo Cricket pics with. That way, we can see them all together in one place!

For those of you not attending the show, you can follow the pics on instagram under that tag. I've already begun tagging some pics of booth projects there just to get things started. (I also use #cosmocricket for most of my pics.)
I'm off to Cleveland for a trip in less than an hour and I'll be gone tomorrow. But then, I'll be headed to CHA where I hope to see many of you!
