My favorite papers we have ever released are the glitter printed cardstock and vellum in our Simple Surfaces deck. Not only are they pretty on their own, but the glitter print resists watercolor. So, if you paint over the top, you get a beautiful effect!
First, gather your supplies. I used crayola watercolor, but think I should have gotten out artist quality colors for deeper pigments. Use a good quality brush. Get water and a towel ready and your set to paint.
You can mix watercolor and change the opacity depending on how much water you add. Brush right over the top of the stars. The paint won't affect them.
This is a very absorbant stock. A lot of the grey you see here is because the paper pulp has absorbed water. As it dries, the color becomes truer... less muddy.
Here's the finished card! I added some adhesive glitter to accentuate one star. The message is strung from our chipboard alpha banners onto our shimmer trims. Those cute little deer are just to make you smile. They sit on my desk for the same reason!
